Service Technician Skills/Knowledge Test

About the Test This on-line test is designed to recognize the high performing technicians in your dealership. Canada West believes that having technicians that are certified under this program gives your dealership an advantage in attracting customers for service and repair jobs. The test is most beneficial as an excellent tool for evaluating prospective technicians during the hiring process.  Most importantly, we hope this accredited test will bring a sense of pride to each technician who receives certified technician status.

How Does It Work? Simply contact the Canada West office! We require the technician’s name and your email so we can email you the username and access code for the technician to take the on-line test.

The technician will have a maximum of two hours to complete the test.  The test results are administered by Canada West with results being provided to the dealer principal.

Each participating technician who achieves a mark of 75% or higher will receive recognition as a Canada West Certified Technician.

This on-line test was developed with the cooperation of the Ohio State University, Kelsey/SIAST and the North American Equipment Dealers Association. In order to assist you in recruiting the Canada West office has the Service Technician test translated into French, Spanish, Ukrainian, and German.
