Arrow Lock Tags

Arrow Lock Tags are fade proof, waterproof, tear proof and come in Yellow, Red and Green.

Boxes include 200 tags and 2 permanent black markers. The markings on the tag are as shown in the picture to the left.

The cost for these tags is $39.99/box less a 5% discount for CWEDA members.

Dealers have found many uses for the tags including tagging customer machinery and parts in the service department, tagging new equipment for easier information access in the sales department and tagging inventory in the parts department.

Flat Rate Guide

The Flat Rate Guide for combines and agricultural tractors over 40hp is a practical tool that helps dealers in their service departments. The guide lists realistic repair times for the service shop and is essential for Canada West members as it gives service times based on real world situations. This service department Flat Rate Guide had been published using information from dealers across North America to give reasonable guidelines for major repair operations.

The Flat Rate Guide helps the dealer accomplish a number of objectives:

  • Generating accurate estimates based on flat rates

  • Utilizing flat rates as a distinct billing source

  • Enabling realistic estimates on important jobs

  • Facilitating "all makes" service where appropriate

  • Helping to determine trade-in values by estimating repair costs

  • Analyzing the productivity of service operations and technicians

The Flat Rate Guide covers combines and tractors over 40 hp all the way back to 1980 from the following manufacturer lines:

  • Allis-Chalmers

  • AGCO

  • Case-IH

  • Caterpillar

  • John Deere

  • Ford

  • Kubota

  • Massey Ferguson

  • New Holland

  • Steiger

  • Versatile

  • White

Repair times are listed for internal engine components such as injection, fuel, hydraulic, water pumps, radiators, air conditioning, compressors, alternators and starters.

The flat rates are compiled using “real world” data by blending actual times spent by over 66 dealers throughout North America. Contact Canada West for sample pages from the guide.

Forms A & B, Sales Agreements & Business Supplies

Sales Agreements

Brought to our attention by the AB Farm Implement Board, we have been advised that all information must be filled out on sales contracts (including distributor address) or they will not accept the form as a legal contract. This same rule applies to every province.

It is imperative that all information be included on the sales contract no matter what province the dealer does business in. We encourage all dealers to order sales agreement forms through the Canada West office to ensure the legalities of the sales  contract are in accordance to provincial law.

Forms

  • Saskatchewan Form A - New Sale Contract

  • Saskatchewan Form B - Used Sale Contract

  • Manitoba Form A - New/Used Sale Contract

  • Other forms are available. Contact the Association office for details.

Business Supplies

The Employee Manual is a new addition to business supplies. Canada West has created a simple, easy to follow guideline for generating this important business tool. An employee manual is useful in ensuring consistent, fair treatment of all employees and protecting the dealership.

The cost of paper and printing is increasing steadily and, by using our leverage as a group of buyers, we can reduce the price our members pay for computer and counter forms. Group purchasing power enables the Association to purchase business supplies at the lowest prices. These savings are then passed on to our members through our business supplies program.

Contact Liana Boutet at 403-250-7581 to receive a quote on any printing you may require.

The table below contains a list of some of the supplies and forms that are available through the Association.

For everyone involved in the business of agricultural, industrial and outdoor power equipment – including buyers, sellers, dealers, auctioneers, lenders and insurers – IRON Solutions, Inc. is the leader in Equipment Market Intelligence™.  The company’s mission is to provide the equipment industry with the information and tools they need to serve their customers more profitably. IRON Solutions provides a portfolio of innovative and integrated products and services starting with the Official Guides, which for more than 70 years has been the gold standard of used equipment data in the industry. The Guides’ trusted foundation of transactional data form the source of other IRON Solutions products and services. These include:

·       IRON Search®, the industry-leading equipment inventory and search engine for Buyers and Sellers to connect. North America’s largest used tractor and equipment Web site, IRONsearch.com receives over a quarter-million unique visits each month from professionals interested in selling, buying or researching construction, agriculture and landscape equipment. IRONsearch.com boasts more than 60,000 new and used equipment listings with nearly $2Billion reported sold in 2008.

·       IRON HQ™, a fully-integrated business management solution that provides a seamless process from taking a lead, to providing a quote, to placing and processing the order.

·       IRON Builder™ product configurator, which enables manufacturers and dealers to improve order accuracy, create brand awareness, streamline communication, lower customer acquisition cost, decrease quote turnaround time and track model and option popularity.

·       IRON Guides™ equipment pricing tool that finds used tractor values and other outdoor power equipment and farm equipment values, instantly analyzes the latest sales activity in an area, factors in hours, options and reconditioning costs for the most profitable price for both a trade-in quote and for the sale for the machine.

The products are continually updated and improved. The IRON Search® tool is now included on all Farm Progress' state and regional publications' Web sites that serve farmers and ranchers across the nation. IRON Searchâ features the SmartSort(TM) scoring system that ranks equipment listings by completeness of description, along with customary categories like equipment price, age and location. SmartSort(TM) is automatically included on all equipment searches on IRONsearch.com, searching listings for descriptive information such as equipment photos, options, price, location and other details. The more complete the listing, the higher it rates. Results appear automatically during equipment searches on IRONsearch.com. Equipment sellers do not need to purchase any additional software or hardware to have their listings ranked.

IRON Solutions, Inc. was borne out of the North American equipment dealers associations and their dealer members who contribute data to the Official Guides. Its U.S. headquarters are in Fenton, MO., with offices in Outlook and Saskatoon, SK.
