A shortage of qualified dealership
employees has led the
Association to launch a variety of
educational initiatives.
In
1998, Canadian Equipment Dealers founded the Canada Equipment
Dealers Foundation (CEDF) to
provide educational programs and services for agricultural, industrial
and outdoor power equipment dealers across Canada. Visit the
foundation page read about
the CEDF. One of the most significant programs created through the
CEDF is the Scholarship Program. Read about scholarship
opportunities for current and future dealership employees in the
scholarships section. To date, over
$500,000 has been raised by the CEDF for scholarships.
Current Employees
In
addition to attracting new employees, CWEDA has a variety of
programs designed to improve the skills and abilities of current
dealership employees. Visit the
member education page to learn about these programs.
Future Employees
An
extreme shortage of agricultural technicians in farm equipment
dealerships has led the Association to launch an educational
initiative aimed at bringing more young people into our industry.
Visiting high schools and attending career
fairs are aimed at attracting youth towards the agriculture
industry.

you are interested in having CWEDA attend your career fair or visit
